The new Forbidden London site features the most exclusive London members' clubs in addition to the type of late night venues you can visit from Monday to Thursday for a breezy evening. Forbidden London Clubs , in partnership with The Motion Group theatre company, are staging an all new theatrical production of Vivienne Westwood’s much publicised manifesto for cultural change, Active Resistance to Propaganda, at one of London’s most versatile venues to hire , Bloomsbury Ballroom, this December. Andrew Steggall, a close friend of Vivienne Westwood , was approached to be part of the project by young political activist and entrepreneur James WJ Wilson - of Forbidden London - who saw the Director as a natural choice to help bring the production to the stage for the first time. Andrew met Vivienne in 2003 as he explains: “She saw a production of ‘The Soldier’s Tale’ that I directed at the Old Vic. Three British papers discussed buying confidential medical information about actor Hugh Grant, director Guy Ritchie and other celebrities in a hoax set up by a documentary film maker. As part of the documentary "Starsuckers", which premieres at the London Film Festival later this month, the filmmakers also planted several fake reports with British tabloids to expose inaccurate celebrity gossip being reported. "We wanted to do a test to see how they would react," director Chris Atkins told Reuters. "It is just showing the public what goes on behind the stories that they pay for every day." The Starsuckers team posed as members of the public to offer the papers fabricated stories about well known-figures to test whether the journalists would check the facts. "We kept trying to do things that they wouldn't print and it happened a couple of times but they pretty much printed most of what we said," Atkins said, adding that their stories had...

X-Factor celebrity Leona Lewis was rushed to hospital on Wednesday afternoon after being slapped in the face at her own book signing in Central London . The crazed ‘fan’ who attacked the singer waited patiently in the queue at Waterstones Piccadilly before launching himself at 24 year old Leona - but only after she had signed his book. Security staff quickly restrained the thug while police arrived before the star was taken to a Harley Street Medical Clinic. A spokeswoman said “Leona’s understandably badly shaken and apologises to the fans she was unable to meet and complete signings for.”

Grace, a new West End club/bar/restaurant , is set top open this Thursday 15th October on the site of the Sugar Reef bar and restaurant on London's famous Great Windmill Street. Named after the legendary glamorous film star Grace Kelly - a celebrity of 1950s stage and screen - it is said to take after her elegance and beauty. Andrew Lloyd Webber launched the long-awaited sequel to his global hit Phantom of the Opera last night, which sees the action transfer from Paris to a New York fairground. 'Love Never Dies' was unveiled at Her Majesty's Theatre in London , where 'Phantom' opened 23 years ago this week, launching a theatrical phenomenon which has been seen by some 100 million people worldwide. The new production, which will open next year, picks up the story a decade on as the Phantom has moved from his lair in the Paris Opera House to haunt New York's Coney Island. Iranian-born Ramin Karimloo will star as the Phantom, having already played the role in the "Phantom of the Opera" on the London stage.

Brian Duffy, one of the most dynamic and inventive photographers of the 1960s, made up 'The Black Trinity' with friendly rivals Terence Donovan and David Bailey. This trio were amongst a group who kept bumping into each other at the same clubs in London 's West End districts of Soho and Mayfair - a heady mix of actors, pop stars and "jelly men", criminals who used gelignite to blow safes. Anish Kapoor's long-awaited art exhibition opens on Saturday at London’s Royal Academy of Arts . This is the first time the Royal Academy’s Main Galleries have been taken over by a living artist, and Kapoor has made good use of the space. On arrival you’ll see the impressive Tall Tree and the Eye sculpture in the Royal Academy’s courtyard, a 15-metre high tower of shiny stainless steel balls. The Tate Galley is defying the current recession thanks to an astonishing series of gifts and bequests, it was revealed today. The Gallery acquired almost £100 million of new art in the past year. This figure includes £64 million of gifts from artists and collectors, as well as bequests. Among the gifts was the Artist Rooms collection, given jointly to the Tate and the National Galleries of Scotland by London dealer Anthony d'Offay.

This Thursday, Vogue.com's Fashion Night Out will be partnering with designers, department stores, and boutiques in the West End of London to create an evening to remember. A man stripped naked in the name of art at one of London's most famous landmarks this week, prompting much uproar from the police. The "living sculpture" (who gave his name only as Simon), was ordered to cover up after peeling off on Anthony Gormley's fourth plinth at Trafalgar Sqaure . He had adopted his position on the plinth at 1am, fully clothed and waving, but when left to his own devices, removed his clothing to a crowd of cheers, wolf whistles and laughter. The "plinther" was then told by one of the organisers: “Simon, you’re going to have to put something on or they want you down... sorry mate. Some pants or something. Thank you.” Simon obliged by putting his underpants back on, to boos from the crowd.

On 29th and 30th August one of the biggest dance music weekends hits London Clapham Common . The Get Loaded weekend welcomes the world's best DJs including Sasha and John Digweed, Richie Hawtin, Dubfire and Armin Van Buuren - to name only a few - while on the Sunday, Get Loaded In The Park has a more live focus and brings Orbital, Carl Craig, Laurent Garnier and Röyksopp to the stage. Visitors to the London Wetland Centre are being offered free wildlife walks this summer with an experienced warden to guide them through the different species and plants on display. The hour-long walks have been funded by the City Bridge Trust, the charitable arm of the City of London Corporation. London's Wetland Centre covers 42 hectares on the banks of the River Thames in Barnes, south west London.

Last night at top VIP club Gigamesh at The Stables in Camden , it was Girls Aloud's notorious drinker Sarah Harding who for once was the sensible one with bandmate Nicola Roberts getting out of hand. The pair were there to help celebrate the third birthday of the venue, and by 11pm, Nicola was downing drinks, dancing on chairs and stumbling around. By midnight, she had been packed off home. If you are in London during the weekend 30-31st August, the Notting Hill Carnival will be in full swing. Europe's biggest carnival involving music, movement and masquerade. The 30th will be Children's day - with more family orientated entertainment and cultural festivity as the future generation of Carnivalists put on a show to rival their adult counterparts. The adult carnival is the usual festivity. Notting Hill Gate tube the only exit available between noon and 7pm on Sunday and noon and 6.30pm on Monday. The festival starts at 10am - 9pm.
